Worcestershire CC Launch Anti-Bullying Website

Worcestershire County Council is one of the first authorities in the country to introduce a website that has been specifically designed to deal with the issues surrounding bullying. The site - which can be found at www.worcestershire.gov.uk/nextsteps - features a range of local information and advice on tackling bullying and an electronic reporting system for people of all ages to log incidents of bullying online. It also contains the county's Anti-Bullying Policy, which has been recently revised by the council with the help of members of Worcestershire Youth Cabinet.

Hannah Cridford, Worcestershire County Council's Anti-Bullying Coordinator, added: "We take bullying very seriously in Worcestershire, which is why we have also taken the time and effort to not just introduce an off-the-peg website in the county, but a site that has been tailor-made to suit our needs. This is the first time we have ever been able to give people the chance to report bullying online, which is a major step forward for us and we're hoping many other authorities will follow in our footsteps."
